“Government made illegal allocations of the China loan funds,” says NDC report

GOVERNMENT was prohibited under the Procurement Financial Management Act to spend loan funds on any matter other than the purposes for the reconstruction of buildings in Nuku’alofa after the 2006 riots.

This is according to one of the key findings of the Parliamentary Select Committee into the Nuku’alofa Development Council (NDC) and the Corporation and the Reconstruction of Nuku’alofa Central Business District’s report.
